Add a Bidder

To add a bidder, click Bidders, and then on the Bidder Dashboard, click + Add New Bidder.

The Register Bidders window appears.

Required Fields

If you want to quickly add a bidder and then fill in the details later, you only need to define two required fields before saving:

Bidder#

You can either assign a bidder# or let the system assign one automatically. Each bidder in your auction is given a unique item number (often shown as Bidder#).  Bidder numbers don't have to be simple numbers.  You can use letters, but each bidder number can only be used once.

Last Name

The bidder`s last name is a required field.

Register a Credit Card for the Bidder

to use an external USB card reader, click Swipe card.

A popup Swipe credit card window will appear prompting you to swipe the card through the reader.

If the swipe is successful, then the window will close, and the card number and expiration date will appear.

When using a credit card reader, only the credit card number and expiration date are read.  The Card Verification Code (CVC), found on the back of most credit cards, is not present on the magnetic strip, so it is not available by swiping the card. You can either type the CCV security code in manually or you can Define Credit Card Processing Preferences to make the CCV security code optional.

If you do not have a card reader, simply enter the credit card number, CCV, and expiry.

When you are done entering information, click Save Bidder.

The Register Bidder windows will refresh to allow you to quickly add another bidder.

To return to the Bidder Dashboard, click Back to Bidders.

Note that every time you save a bidder, the bidder will appear at the top of the window under Recently Registered Bidders.
